Now offered by CPR Classic is this lovely 1964 Porsche 356SC painted in Bali Blue (6412) over tan leather interior. The car has just finished from a very high-quality sympathetic restoration by a private marque specialist. Originally this SC was delivered in white with a red leather interior. The car was stripped to bare metal and found to be in very nice shape with only minimal metal work required to return the car to proper condition. The battery box was replaced along with some minor metal work to the floor around the pedal cluster. The car was then finished in desirable Bali Blue using correct Glasurit paint. This SC's paint was applied expertly, with minimal shine and only the most minimal of flaws. The car then went to K&H Interiors in Costa Mesa and a new tan interior was installed including leather seat, door, quarter, dash and door topper upholstery, German square-weave carpet and a German headliner. Assembly on the car was then completed and the car was delivered to CPR Classic for minor sorting to sell. The car still retains its functional factory original radio, beautifully restored gauges and chrome refinished to a high standard. This car has only recently arrived at CPR and we have inspected the car thoroughly. We have several minor items to address for the car to be ready for delivery. When complete the car will be a stunning driver that will be ready another lifetime of enjoyable miles. The car's engine is a non-matching but period-correct 356SC engine that is properly tuned and runs very strong, with leak down within factory specifications on all four cylinders. The restorer noted that the engine has 30,000 miles and is still in phenomenal running order- a real testament to Porsche's quality of build and engineering. This 356SC is the perfect car for someone looking to drive and enjoy his or her car regularly while still being able to show the car well at any 356 event in the world.
